Job Summary
Job Qualifications
- Responsible for installing, managing, and upgrading Windows-based systems and servers within the enterprise. Including but not limited to managing data security, configuring user access, and maintaining the stability of the system.
- This position requires coordination with the customer, as well as a variety of technical personnel with different specialized skills. The team-based environment is fast moving and has high expectations for quality of work and turnaround times.
- Utilize Microsoft Systems Center and PowerShell to develop operational and maintenance procedures for these systems and document system configuration and operational procedures. The systems will be hosted on DELL hardware, attached to NIMBLE storage and local disks, in a lights out configuration with support for Bare Metal Deployments and Multi-Tennant PaaS cloud.
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
- Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
- Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
- Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
- Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
- Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.
- Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
- Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent experience.
- Minimum Experience: 3 years.
- Preferred Experience: 5-7 years or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Microsoft Windows Server (i.e., 2016 and/or 2019), including Active Directory administration.
- Securing, and hardening, Windows Hyper-V hosts and guest systems
- Xen Server/Windows Hype-V administration
- Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs
- Cost Consciousness - Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures; Contributes to profits and returns.

- Maintain data related to production and personnel files for security access
- Coordinates with finance team as deemed necessary with projects and purchases
- Windows Server Operating Systems
- Windows Server Applications (i.e., SQL Server, Exchange, IIS)
- Network and Security products including but not limited to, Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki, FortiGate
- All facets of IT networking hardware including but not limited to routers, switches, servers, etc.
- Required to sit majority of the work day.
- Occasionally required to travel to Data Center or onsite for Customer Support.
- Required to utilize tele-communication skills [talk and hear] majority of the work day.
- Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
- Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds).
- Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds).
- Finger dexterity required.
- Hand coordination required.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
- Exposure to moving technical / mechanical parts.
